How we put pages together.
Where our research, patient accounts and prices come from, and how to read them.
Research
Condition and treatment pages are written from primary sources: published trials and systematic reviews (PubMed, Cochrane), trial registries (ClinicalTrials.gov), regulators and professional bodies. Every claim links to its source in a numbered list at the bottom of the page.
Patient accounts
We also read first-hand patient accounts on Reddit and, where Reddit is thin, on HealthUnlocked and Inspire. We count only people describing their own treatment or a close relative's, exclude posters who appear to work for or promote a clinic, and report what we found as counts, such as "44 of 76". These accounts are self-reported, so we never present them as evidence that a treatment works.
Prices
"From" is the lowest price a clinic has published for that treatment or condition, whatever the package. Where a clinic does not publish a price, we say so. Prices can change, so confirm the price with the clinic before you book.
How clinics are listed
Each clinic profile shows what the clinic treats, where it is, and the prices it publishes, so you can compare clinics and decide for yourself. Listing is free. Clinics are grouped by country, and no clinic pays to appear on the site or for where it appears.
